[Wikipedia] Taxonomy: Hecastocleis shockleyi was described by Asa Gray in 1882 and placed it to the tribe Mutisieae. Kåre Bremer in 1994 assigned it to the subtribe Mutisiinae, while Hind in 2006 erected its own group within the Mutisieae. (link added by Mary Ann Machi)
