KEYWORDS: North Coast, Ecological Staircase, Pygmy Forest
ABOUT
This is a beautiful spot with a great beach. There are some really easy short hikes from the parking lot. As you head inland from the coast, following the "ecological staircase," the plant communities slowly change.
DIRECTIONS:
The parking lot is right off Highway 1, just north of Caspar, on the west (ocean) side of the highway.
TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT
Pink flowering currants usually bloom in January and February.
