B.S. in horticulture from West Virginia University, M.S. in Plant Pathology from West Virginia University. Previous rare plant field botanist for SPI. I have a passion for California native plants. Have thru hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, Lowest to Highest route, San Diego Trans-county Trail and various other back country trails and routes in the state, observing native plants along the way. Over 11,000 miles of back country trails hiked. I love hiking far off trail, finding new occurrences of rare plants, especially alpine, sub-alpine and high desert mountain species.
