[efloras.org] Range: Subspecies humboldtii is distributed from Tehama County south to Calaveras County; reports from farther south are erroneous. An anomalous population documented by A. A. Heller early in the twentieth century as occurring near the Sacramento River at valley elevations (ca. 100 m) in Butte County is unconfirmed and unlikely to be relocated.
